Warriors defeated Wizards by five wickets.
Bengal cricketer Abhishek Das recently went viral after he took an exceptional catch in the ongoing Bengal Pro T20 2024. He took the catch near the boundary rope against Medinipur Wizards in match number 7 of the ongoing tournament.
Competing at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, Das ran towards long-on before making a huge leap to hold on to a ball that looked to be going for a maximum. The catch dismissed Wizards’ Deepak Kumar Mahato during the death overs.
The clip of the same has been making the rounds all over social media as Das’ excellent fielding skills has taken social media by a storm. Furthermore, after taking the magnificent catch, Das celebrated in similar fashion to that of veteran Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan as he imitated the thigh slap.

Howrah Warriors register dominant win against Wizards
Speaking of the game between Howrah Warriors and Medinipur Wizards, the clash began with Wizards coming in to bat first. The side got off to a good start as openers Kaushik Maity and Vivek Singh scored 32 and 34 runs, respectively. Sudip Chatterjee added 14 runs on the board as well with Priyanshu Srivastava scoring 27 runs as Wizards posted a total of 132 runs in the first innings.
As for Warriors, Saksham Chaudhary was the highest wicket-taker with five wickets to his name. Sujit Yadav and Kanishk Seth took two wickets each as Aamir Gani took one wicket as well.

Aiming to chase down the target, Warriors got off to a subpar start as openers Abhishek Das and Shakir Gandhi were dismissed for eight and zero runs, respectively. Furthermore, Rahul Prasad added five runs on the board. However, the knocks of the middle order batters helped the side stay in the game.
Anustup Majumdar amassed 30 runs to his name, with Pramod Chandila staying unbeaten on a score of 46 runs, alongside Pankaj Shaw, who scored 36* runs as Warriors won the game by five wickets.
