Fans flock towards Rishabh pant at the Niranjan Shah Stadium during the Ranji Trophy
While there are some Indian players busy playing in the series against England at home there are some who are currently playing in the domestic circuit. The Ranji Trophy game between Saurashtra and Delhi featured three big Indian international superstars who made themselves available for this match.
The Delhi team had a returning Rishabh Pant while the Saurashtra team had India star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Test cricket specialist batter Cheteshwar Pujara playing in the match. There was also a lot of hype for Jadeja and Pant who were playing their first Ranji game after a long season of international cricket. The two were part of the India squad in the concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia which was won by a margin of 3-1 by the Aussies.

While Ravindra Jadeja went on to have a great start on his comeback taking a five-wicket haul in the first innings, Pant was sadly dismissed for just one run by Dharmendrasinh Jadeja. However, this poor performance did not stop Pant from being a fan favourite and the fans started to gather around him while he was walking in Niranjan Shah stadium in Rajkot. One of the fans was also seen coming to touch his feet as well. This shows the aura of Pant who has established himself as one of the biggest match-winners in Indian cricket.
