Riyan Parag smashed MS Dhoni's trademark Helicopter shot to light up Mullanpur in the match between RR and PBKS in the IPL 2025. The right-handed batter helped RR in finishing the game against PBKS with his knock of an unbeaten 43*(25), which included 3 fours and sixes. He played a key role in RR's acceleration in the death overs along with Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel.

Marco Jansen attempted a yorker against the right-handed batter. However, he badly missed the length, and the ball turned out to be fuller and wider of the pads. Riyan Parag did not waste the freebie and hit a helicopter shot over the deep fine leg to fetch six runs. The crowd erupted as Parag played a great shot.

He was helped by Hetmyer and Jurel, who scored 20 runs in 12 balls and an unbeaten 13*(5) respectively to help RR post a total of 205/4 on the board.

Nehal Wadhera and Glenn Maxwell revive PBKS's run chase after an early collapse

RR had the momentum on their side, as they finished their innings well. The inaugural champions continued it with the ball as they picked wickets for fun in the powerplay overs. In the very first over of the match, Jofra Archer breathed fire and dismissed Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer.

However, Nehal Wadhera and Glenn Maxwell revived the home team's innings with a crucial 88-run stand for the 5th wicket. Wadhera contributed well for the partnership and scored 62(41), which included 4 fours and 3 sixes. Maxwell scored 30(21), which included 3 fours and a six. Their dismissals led to PBKS being reduced to 131/6 after 15.1 overs.
