[WATCH] IPL 2025: Trent Boult reveals meaning of 'BBC'; opens up on bond with pace buddies Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar
Mumbai Indians will take on Delhi Capitals on April 13 in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi
The 29th match of the 2025 IPL is set to take place between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Ahead of the clash, MI’s left-arm pacer Trent Boult expressed his excitement and happiness over the strong bowling attack his team boasts this season.
The Kiwi pacer talked about the popular ‘BBC’ trend circulating in this season, stating that ‘BBC’ stands for Boult, Bumrah, and Chahar. “I am sure it’s to do with two of my other bowling partners,” said Boult in MI Central.

The 35-year-old highlighted how he has built a great rapport with Bumrah over the years and emphasised the importance of the right-arm pacer playing a crucial role for MI this season. He also revealed that he idolises Deepak Chahar for the way he swings and moves the ball, appreciating the unique skill set.
“I think firstly very exciting. Some bowlers that have tremendous experience around the world and got along with Bumrah really well over the years. He’s going to play a huge role for the franchise and for the side and Deepak is a bowler that I’ve idolised the way he can move the ball and swing the ball so there won’t be any fighting over the first over and well backed up for our experienced squad. That’s very exciting for the franchise,” said Boult when asked about the X-factor MI has in the bowling attack.
Meanwhile, MI are struggling this season with just one victory among the five matches they played and will aim to come back stronger against DC, whereas the Capitals are comfortable in the points table standing at the top winning all the four matches they played so far.
