Watch: Ishan Kishan captured bowling against Hyderabad in All India Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament
Kishan bowled two overs but failed to take any wickets.
Star India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has had a roller coaster of a season so far. The 26-year-old was not named on the list of the BCCI’s central contracts after he ignored playing domestic cricket and solely focused on the IPL (Indian Premier League).
However, he made his return to red-ball cricket with the ongoing All India Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament. Representing Jharkhand, Ishan Kishan made an exceptional comeback to the longest format after he hit a double century and put forth a brilliant performance.
He aimed to continue his form in the second game against the Hyderabad Cricket Association. Jharkhand began the clash by batting first; however, Kishan was unable to make an impact after he departed for a score of one run in 11 deliveries.
However, it was the first innings for Hyderabad that caught a lot of attention for the side. Ishan Kishan moved up from his wicketkeeping duties and came out to bowl.
Kishan bowled two overs in which he conceded five runs to his name but was unable to take any wickets in the process. The clip of the same has been going viral all over social media.
Hyderabad defeat Jharkhand in comfortable fashion
Speaking of the game, Jharkhand batted first and posted a total of 178 runs in the first innings of the clash. However, in response, Hyderabad put in an exceptional performance with the bat and posted 293 runs in the first innings, gaining a good lead over their opponents.
As Jharkhand came out to minimise their trail and post a lead, giving their opponents a target to chase, the side failed to put in their best performance with the bat once more. The side were bundled out for a score of 140 runs.
In response, Hyderabad were able to chase down the target with ease, scoring 26 runs and winning the game by nine wickets in the process.
