The captain of Team India, Rohit Sharma, is well-known for his amusing remarks, which have frequently gone viral on stump-mic during IPL or international matches. The T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match between Bangladesh and India in Antigua was no exception, as a video of him conversing with a bowler went viral.

The event happened as Bangladesh's all-rounder Mahmudullah, who had a huge task ahead of him, went to the middle during the latter part of their innings. Given that the batter had just entered the crease, Rohit, who was positioned behind the stumps, appeared to be encouraging the bowler to allow the batsman to make some shots.

Watch the video below:

As the Men in Blue showed off their strength in the final overs, India's score of 196-4 in 20 overs is the greatest T20I total at the location. Some quick hits were added by the top-order batsmen, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Kohli. Nonetheless, Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube's 53 off 34 deliveries represented the greatest partnership.

Pandya, who scored 32 runs in 24 deliveries when playing Afghanistan, reached 50 without losing a game and reached that mark in the last delivery of the innings, needing just 27 balls. Bangladesh's best bowler was Tanzim Hasan, who had statistics of 4-0-32-2.

A win against Australia would help team India finish on top of Group 1 of the points table. It will also confirm their place in the final four. Not to forget, India and Australia last faced each other in the 2023 ODI World Cup finals where the Aussies won the match and lifted the trophy.
