Star India batter KL Rahul was recently captured gearing up for the 17th edition of the Duleep Trophy by putting in some work in the nets. In a clip that has been going viral all over social media, Rahul was seen honing his skills and preparing for the upcoming domestic season.

The star batter was not a part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad and had a subpar showing in the recent ODI series against Sri Lanka. He scored 31 runs in the first match, encountered a two-ball duck in the second, and was not picked for the third ODI.

KL Rahul is part of the Shubman Gill-led Team A in the initial rounds of the Duleep Trophy. His performance in the competition will be highly anticipated as well, with India’s Test season on the horizon.

It is worth noting that shortly after the Duleep Trophy, India will be preparing for a long test season. The side will first take on Bangladesh across two Tests, followed by a further three against New Zealand.

Furthermore, after a couple of home series, India will prepare for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25, where the side aims to make it a hat trick of series wins Down Under.
