Pakistan and Bangladesh are locking horns in Match 31 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday, October 31 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After opting to bat first, Bangladesh were bundled out for 204 in 45.1 overs as Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr picked up three wickets each. During their innings, a hilarious moment was witnessed on the pitch as Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan asked Taskin Ahmed if he hit the ball before reviewing an umpire’s decision.

The incident took place on the first ball of the 43rd over bowled by Shaheen Afridi as Taskin tried to flick him but the ball ended up brushing his pad and carrying to Rizwan behind the stumps. Afridi and Rizwan immediately went up for the appeal for caught behind which was turned down by the on-field umpire. Following that, they began consulting with the captain Babar Azam to review the decision. The Pakistan wicketkeeper even hilariously consulted with Taskin to know if he had got the edge which left the commentator Ravi Shastri in splits.

Following their early dismissals, Litton Das (45 off 64), Mahmudullah (56 off 70) and Shakib Al Hasan (43 off 64) played crucial knocks to keep their side in the game.
