India and Bangladesh are facing off in the second T20I of the ongoing series. Both sides locked horns at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Wednesday, October 9, and the clash began with team India coming in to bat first. In the first innings, it proved to be a special day for Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Coming in to bat in the middle order, Reddy made his presence known and instantly impressed with his performance. In the 10th over of the first innings, Reddy sent Bangladesh’s Rishad Hossain back to the cleaners on two successive occasions.

Hitting the spinner for consecutive sixes on the third and fourth balls of the over, Nitish Reddy went on to score his maiden half century in international cricket. The clip of his two consecutive sixes against Rishad has been going viral all over social media as well.

Reddy departs after brilliant 74

Nitish Kumar Reddy went on to play a brilliant knock against Bangladesh in the ongoing second T20I of the series. The star batter stood at the crease and troubled the visitors’ bowling attack. His innings came to an end in the 14th over of the first innings, as he was sent packing by Mustafizur Rahman on a score of 74 runs in just 34 deliveries.

After impressive showing in the IPL (Indian Premier League), Reddy finally got his chance with team India and made sure that he made the most of the situation. His knock went a long way in helping the hosts post a big total onto the scoreboard in the first innings.

It is worth noting that India have already won the first T20I of the ongoing series, the clash that they won was held in Gwalior and if the Men in Blue go on to defeat Bangladesh in the second T20I, they will clinch the series.
