'Sakreen ni hota hai screen hota hai’ - Shoaib Akhtar mocks Kamran Akmal on live TV

Legendary Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was seen mocking his former teammate Kamran Akmal on live TV. A video regarding this has surfaced on social media. This came at a time when Akhtar’s remark on Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has already been doing rounds. 

During a recent appearance on a local news channel, the former pace ace was critical of Azam's communication skills. He also mentioned most of the Pakistan players can't speak English properly. In regard to this, Akhtar was criticized by current and former Pakistan players. 

In the viral video, Akhtar while talking to the anchor of ARY News, was seen mocking Akmal for his accent. Notably, Akmal was also present in the studio.

"Kami is our match winner...he must be listening to this...he has played really well for Pakistan. Mai sun raha tha, ye bhi keh raha tha sakreen...sakreen ni hota hai screen hota hai (I heard him speak, he was saying 'sakreen'...it's screen and not sakreen)," Akhtar was heard as saying on ARY News.

‘I did not intend to belittle Babar Azam’ – Shoaib Akthar on his remark on Pakistan captain

Nicknamed the Rawalpindi Express, Akthar then took time to clear up his comments on Azam. The 47-year-old said that his intention was not to "belittle" the Pakistan skipper. He also compared Azam with former India captain Virat Kohli and pointed out that he speaks English fluently. 

"You have to note these things, my intention was not to belittle Babar... he is a brand face...I want him to look that way. Babar is as big a player as Virat Kohli, if you see Virat's video...he speaks fluently," he said.
 
Reacting to the Akthar’s comments, former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt urged him not to target a player on a public platform. Butt added that if the speedster genuinely wanted to see him improve, he should talk to him in person. He also said that a player should focus more on improving his cricketing abilities, instead of communication skills.
