Star India batter Shreyas Iyer had quite an eventful day on the field on Day 2 of the India A vs India D’s Duleep Trophy Round 2 match. Iyer took a wicket on his very first delivery that he bowled. Incidentally, Iyer was also dismissed on a duck earlier when it was his turn to bat.
Coming in to bowl in the second innings, Iyer went viral with the only delivery that he bowled throughout the day. The India D skipper took the wicket of India A skipper Mayank Agarwal who was batting on a score of 56 runs.

India A maintain 222-run lead against India D
Speaking of the game between India A and D, the clash began with India A batting first, and after the knocks of Shams Mulani, who added 89 runs in 187 deliveries, Tanush Kotian scored 53 runs in 80 balls, with Riyan Parag scoring 37 runs as India A posted 290 runs in the first innings.
As for India D, Harshit Rana took four wickets in the first innings, with Vidwath Kaverappa and Arshdeep Singh taking two each and Saransh Jain and Saurabh Kumar striking once each.
Coming into bat, India D managed to score 183 runs in the first innings in response. Devdutt Padikkal was the highest run getter for his side in the first innings with 92 runs to his name. Furthermore, as Day 2 ended, India A scored 115 runs in the second innings and maintained a lead of 222 runs against their opponent, and they will hope to post a big target for them to chase down as Day 3 approaches.
