Amit Mishra’s comments on Kohli cause controversy
Recently, former India cricketer Amit Mishra gave an interview where he made several controversial comments, including a few on Kohli. Mishra opined that getting fame and money has changed Kohli as a person. Furthermore, he reflected on the argument between Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq during the IPL 2023.
“He (Kohli) started abusing our players (in the LSG vs RCB rematch in Lucknow). He didn’t have any grudges with Kyle Mayers, but he abused him as well. Naveen-ul-Haq was bowling, and he abused him too. A lot could have been avoided, but Kohli chose not to,” Mishra said.
““The public was going mad so Gautam gestured them to keep quiet. Probably Virat Kohli didn’t like that. We thought the matter ended with the game but not for Kohli. But the problem began after the game. He (Kohli) started abusing him again during the customary handshakes. That’s when Gambhir intervened, questioning why are you starting it again when the game had ended and you guys had won. I moved Gambhir away but Naveen later came to the dressing and said that Kohli started abusing again,” he added..
However, from his comments RCB pacer Yash Dayal took to Instagram and shared a picture alongside Virat Kohli. ”It's an honour to stand beside you bhaiya @virat.kohli,” Dayal captioned the post.
