Virat Kohli congratulated Australia's star batter Travis Head after his brilliant century in the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. It was an explosive innings from Head, who has caused a lot of problems for the Indian team in the last year and a half.

The third Test is in control of the Aussies at the moment thanks to a sensational fourth-wicket partnership between Steve Smith (101 off 190) and Travis Head. The hosts ended the day on 405/7 with Alex Carey (45 off 47) and Mitchell Starc (7 off 7) at the crease.

Speakig of Head, the southpaw scored 152 off just 160 deliveries, including 18 fours. Head struck at 95 in this innings and continued to take on the Indian bowlers until he was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah in the last session of the day. After he reached the milestone, Kohli congratulated the southpaw with a handshake and pat on the back.

Head is currently the highest run-getter in the series with 392 runs at an average of 98. He has already scored two centuries and a fifty with his scores reading 11, 89, 140 and 152 so far. Head was named the Player of the Match in the second Test in Adelaide as he played a crucial role in Australia's series-levelling 10-wicket win.

The Australian southpaw has been India nemesis since the World Test Championship final at Lord's in 2023, where he was the Player of the Match for his match-winning 163-run knock. He was also the Player of the Final in 2023 ODI World Cup in Ahmedabad, where he slammed 137 off 120 to help Australia defeat hosts India to win their sixth 50-over world title.
