Star batter Anneke Bosch smashed unbeaten 74 runs off 48 deliveries to win South Africa the semi-final against Australia. She made the difference with the bat and helped the team qualify for their second T20 World Cup final in a row. However, the 31-year-old understands that the job is not yet done and is hoping that South Africa will play their best cricket in the final against New Zealand to win the trophy.

Ahead of the summit clash, Bosch stated that she is extremely happy with the performance of all the players and liked how they approached each game and the tournament in general. However, she believes that the team is yet to play to their full potential and wants every player to step up on the big day.

“I'm just incredibly proud of everyone and the team and just the way that we approached this whole World Cup and how we've played throughout. I think we kind of said we haven't played our best game yet and probably still haven't. But hopefully, we're leaving it for the finals now,” Bosch was quoted as saying by IOL.

South Africa are an incredible side: Sophie Devine

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine expects a tough challenge from South Africa in the final. She lauded Laura Wolvaardt, Marizanne Kapp and Bosch for having an exceptional game against Australia in the semis but is optimistic about doing well against them on October 20 in Dubai. She believes that the White Ferns have nothing to lose, and wants the players to give their everything.

“We are really excited about the final. We have nothing to lose and that is a great space to be. We are going to win this thing now. They are an incredible side. Laura leads them from the front. Kapp is one of the best players in the world (and) Bosch in the game against Australia was superb. But we have to focus on ourselves, and hope the cricketing gods are on our side as well,” Devine said.
