'We share a Tom and Jerry kind of bond' - Nitish Reddy's sister opens up on relationship with her brother

The family of Nitish Reddy was very proud of his incredible century in the first innings of the Boxing Day Test. The knock gave his team a chance to fight back in the match. The young all-rounder’s father broke into tears as he saw his son score his maiden hundred in international cricket against one of the best pace attacks in the world.
There are always some young performers that enter the realm of international cricket in style and right now Indian cricket has found one in the form of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Surely, it was a proud moment for the 21-year-old cricketer to make an impact in his first-ever Test series in front of his family who also celebrated his achievement. His family members also came into the limelight and talked about his childhood and dreams. His sister Tejaswi Reddy also opened up about her bond with him saying that the two share a Tom and Jerry kind of relationship.
“We share a Tom and Jerry kind of bond, but we love each other from inside. We don’t show it much, but we love each other. I am a very proud sister. He always used to say, ‘I will make you proud one day’ and yesterday was that day,” Tejaswi said as quoted by India Today.
Nitish Reddy’s performance this series and Day 4 highlights
Nitish Reddy is currently the highest run scorer in the BGT series for India, scoring 293 runs in the four matches he has played at an average of 58.60. He has also taken three wickets. The only batter who has more runs than him this series is Travis Head who has been another superstar in this five-match Test series.
Speaking of the situation after Day 4, India was finally all out for a score of 369 giving Australia a 105-run lead. At one stage it looked like the Indian bowlers had finally got the better of the Aussies but the last wicket partnership between Boland and Lyon caused more frustration with the score being at 228-9 at Stumps and Australia leading by 333 runs with one day to go.
