Marcus Stoinis has been performing well with the bat in the ongoing season of the IPL 2024. The star all-rounder has played 8 matches and scored 254 runs at a batting average of 42.33, and a batting strike rate of 159.75, including a hundred and a fifty for LSG. Even with the ball, he has been handy. The 34-year-old has claimed 2 wickets so far with a best-match figure of 1/7. As a fielder, he is excellent too. He is one of the best overseas players in the league recently.

In the history of the league, he has 1732 runs at a batting average of 28.87, at a batting strike rate of 143.14, including a hundred and eight fifties. With the ball, he has claimed 41 wickets at a bowling average of 29.83, at a bowling strike rate of 18.71, including a 4-wicket haul. The star cricketer has been in the news after he smashed a sensational hundred to beat CSK in their backyard. It was CSK's first loss at home in 2024.

The right-handed batter smashed an unbeaten 124*(63) while chasing a mammoth total of 211 runs. It is the highest score by a batter in the second innings of the IPL. His knock was brilliant as it came with little support from the other end. Devdutt Padikkal and KL Rahul struggled to get going at the other end. Despite that, Stoinis kept his side alive in the game by constantly scoring boundaries. Eventually, he finished the game for his side.
