The Mumbai batters have not had a great start to the second half of the Ranji Trophy getting bowled out for only 120 runs. The bowler who has caused a lot of problems for them in the match between Mumbai and Jammu & Kashmir is the right-arm pacer, Umar Nazir.
The 31-year-old pacer has bowled a brilliant spell in the first innings ending with figures of 4/41 as he dismissed big international players in Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube during the match. This is perhaps one of the best spells from a bowler against one of the best teams in the tournament who have won the title 42 times.
Speaking of Umar Nazir, the 6’4” player was born in a small district in Pulwama which is situated in the disputed Kashmir region. He made his first-class debut in 2013 and List-A- A debut in 2014 for Jammu and Kashmir and has played a total of 57 first-class games and 36 List-A games and has a great record in the domestic scene playing for his state team with 138 wickets in the red ball format and 54 wickets in List-A wickets to his name. He has taken a total of eight five-wicket hauls in his domestic career.

Speaking of the match after the disastrous innings of the Mumbai innings which included only one 50+ score by star all-rounder Shardul Thakur, J&K lost an early wicket of Vivrant Sharma in the second over of the first innings as he was caught behind on a delivery by Mohit Avasthi.
At the time of writing J&K are currently at 42/1 at the end of 11 overs and are trailing by 78 runs with Shubham Kajuria and Yawer Hassan at the crease. They will be looking to bat out the whole day to make sure they stay ahead in the match.
