Why Angkrish Raghuvanshi is not playing IPL 2024 Match 60 between KKR vs MI?
The game resumed with revised playing conditions of 16 overs per side due to rain.
Kolkata Knight Riders took on Mumbai Indians in Match 60 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 11, Saturday. Due to incessant rain, the game was delayed for more than two hours. However, the game resumed with revised playing conditions of 16 overs per side. One bowler can bowl four overs maximum and four bowlers can bowl three overs maximum. The duration of the mid-innings break was cut short to ten minutes.
After the weather gods permitted a rain-marred game, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. Rain played a major role in MI’s decision to chase they fielded the unchanged team for the game. However, KKR came up with one major change as Angkrish Raghuvanshi was benched and Nitish Rana was brought in.
“We are going to bowl. Just want to see how the pitch behaves. It has been under covers for two days. We all are aware of the stats, but you got to turn up and play good cricket on the day. Same team,” said Hardik Pandya at the toss.
“I tried it another time (toss), still it came down as heads (smiles at his record on losing tosses). It's part and parcel but it such games it's crucial. Not going to take those excuses though. We want the Q next to our team. Nitish comes in for Angkrish,” said Shreyas Iyer at the toss.
