Something similar has been followed by the IPL teams over the last few days, as all matches have featured players wearing black armbands to pay respect to the lives lost in the Pahalgam terror attack. In fact, the match between SRH and MI did not witness fireworks and cheerleaders on Wednesday, April 23.

Indian Women convincingly beat Sri Lankan women in the first ODI

The Indian Women's cricket team had a good outing against the Sri Lankan women's team. The Indian women outclassed the Sri Lankan women in all facets of the game. Bowling first, the Indian bowlers were right on the money from the word go and gave little to no room to the batters to free their arms.

A collectively good effort from the bowling unit helped the Indian women to dismiss the Sri Lankan women to a paltry total of 147 runs in just 38.1 overs. Sneh Rana was the pick of the bowlers, who claimed 3/31 in her eight overs. Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma claimed 2/26 and 2/22 in their eight and 5.1 overs, respectively.

Chasing a modest 148, the Indian batters seemed under no pressure and went after the bowlers. Smriti Mandhana batted well yet again and scored 43(46). Pratika Rawal continued her form and stayed unbeaten at 50*(62). At the other end, Harleen Deol scored an unbeaten 48*(71) and helped the Indian women chase the target by nine wickets and 56 balls remaining.
