Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are hosting Rajasthan Royals in game 44 of the ongoing mega T20 cricket carnival Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) on Saturday, April 27, at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. During the toss, home skipper KL Rahul flicked the coin while the visiting captain Sanju Samson called it right as the coin fell in his side's favour. Interestingly enough. at first, there was some confusion while the officials arrived at the final decision for the toss winner.

Even though RR went ahead with an unchanged side, one of the key bowlers Kuldeep Sen has been sitting out due to some stiff competition along with crucial stage of the tournament is approaching nearer. Hence skipper Samson cited their strength as the key reason for some players missing out on making it to the playing XI. Meanwhile, speaking of the hosts, LSG have been in scintillating form of late. But given the business end nearing, they are certainly missing the sheer pace of Mayank Yadav, who is said to be still recovering from his side strain injury.

Speaking of his overall performance in the IPL 2024 so far, the fiery pacer has featured in three games whereby he has claimed six wickets with an incredible economy of 6.00.
