Why are Mohsin Khan and Mayank Agarwal not playing IPL 2024 Match 57 between SRH vs LSG?

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for match 57 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad on Wednesday, 8th May 2024. Both the captains wanted to bat first but the luck played its role in favour of the LSG skipper KL Rahul who chose to bat first against Pat Cummins' side. They have made two changes to their playing XI. Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav are unavailable for the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

The bowling department of LSG has been affected by injuries. Their star performer, who was said to be the fastest bowler in IPL history Mayank Yadav has been ruled out of IPL due to an injury. The left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan also picked up an injury during the tournament and was not included in the squad for the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mayank Agarwal and Marco Jansen have been replaced by Sanvir Singh and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth. 

SRH skipper Pat Cummins confirmed that Marco Jansen is not included in the squad against LSG and Mayank Agarwal is included in the Impact Player list. 

"We will bat first. That (the pitch) plus a couple of games that have been played here. It is hard to complete forget how important this game is for both the sides, but we have played enough cricket. We will focus one thing at a time, first bat well and put the runs on the board. Playing at home becomes a difference, but we play so much cricket that we know how the conditions will be. Quinton comes in, Mohsin misses out and there are a few other changes," said LSG skipper KL Rahul. 

"Thank You (for the birthday wishes). My body feels 31. We would have batted as well. But we have won both ways here and hence not too upset. Hard to know (a good score) as it has been pretty high scoring. It is pretty tough (to qualify for the playoffs) and you have to keep winning till the end, we have not nailed it in the last couple of games and it is time to change that. We have a couple of changes - Sanvir comes in for Agarwal and Viyaskanth makes his debut and replaces Marco," Pat Cummins after losing the toss.
