As the IPL 2024 league stage moves into the end stages, teams are looking to book their berth for the top 4. With the fight for the top 4 still in the air, teams are looking to go into their crucial matches with a balanced playing XI.

Match 48 of the IPL 2024 between LSG and MI saw some changes made by both teams. First off, LSG brought back the sensational speedster Mayank Yadav after a concerning injury spell that ended his run of impressive performance in the nascent stages of the tournament. He replaces Yash Thakur in the team.

Opening batter Quinton de Kock has also been rested by KL Rahul, having his place given to Ashton Turner who solidifies LSG's middle order.

"We will bowl first. Wicket looks good, want to put their batters under pressure and look to chase it. We'll try to stay as balanced as possible. Need to come out and put up show. We have had a few good victories. Few changes, Quinton misses out. Kulkarni is in the team. Mayank is back as well. He has bowled really well, he has a huge impact. I have been pushing the physios and medical team. Mayank is eager to go. Important that he gets it out of his head that he had an injury," said KL Rahul at the toss.

As for Mumbai Indians, they have brought back Gerald Coetzee in place of Luke Wood who did not have a good outing last time around. Wood gave away 68 runs in 4 overs at an economy of 17 which is why he has been rested for this match against LSG.

While speaking at the toss, MI captain Hardik Pandya said, "Looks alright. Looks like a slower surface, let's see how it plays. We know that all games are do or die. Need to focus on one game at a time. I think everytime we have backed our playing XI. The injuries have cost us. Crucial players are all secured. It's a long tournament, we have believed in all our players everytime we have played. Coetzee comes back in for Wood."
