The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host match 6 between Bangladesh and New Zealand and this will be a crucial game for Bangladesh to stay alive in the tournament and an opportunity for New Zealand to spoil the party for both teams which not only includes their upcoming opponents but also the hosts who they beat in the opening game of the tournament.

This will be the first game that will be held at this stadium and will decide the fate of three teams in Group A. New Zealand will be the favorites and just have to win this encounter to avoid any drama considering their qualification. On the other hand, Pakistan will also be hoping that the Bangla Tigers win against the Kiwis to give them a chance of making it into the semi-finals.

Toss Update

New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first and have made two changes, naming Rachin Ravindra as replacement for Daryl Mitchell and bringing in Kyle Jamieson in place of Nathan Smith. Bangladesh also bring in Mahmudullah and Nahid Rana in place of Soumya Sarkar and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.

Rachin Ravindra replaces Daryl Mitchell

What did the captains' say at the toss?

Mitchell Santner (New Zealand):

We'll bowl first, looks like a good wicket. We trained a lot in different grounds, but there might be some dew in here. Two changes here - Kyle Jamieson in for Nathan Smith, and Rachin Ravindra is back in. Always good to play in conditions where you will playing an eventual tournament in the lead up.

Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh):

Would have liked to bowl as well. Two changes for us - Mahmudullah is back in for us. Nahid Rana is in for us as well. Soumya Sarkar and Tanzid Shakib are out. The way we fought back against India after that collapse gives us a lot of confidence.
