The multi-format series between the West Indies and India began with two Test matches. As expected, Rohit Sharma-led India put forth an excellent performance across the two Tests and clinched the two-match series in sensational fashion.

They dominated the West Indies in the first Test, winning the game by an innings and 141 runs, and they showcased similar class in the second Test and asserted their dominance across the four days of play. However, as the match was pushed onto the fifth and final day, rain played spoilsport, and the game ended in a draw, which handed India the series win by 1-0.

Across the two matches, there were several performances that left the fans in awe. Whether that’d be Yashasvi Jaiswal’s magnificent century on his debut, Virat Kohli breaking his Test ton curse, or the brilliance of star pacer Mohammed Siraj in the second Test.

There were many contenders who could have won the Player of the Series award. However, much to the fans’ surprise, there have been no announcements about which player will be winning the award, and the reason for the same remains unknown. It could be interesting to see how the situation pans out in the coming hours and if a player in the series is announced or not.
