India and West Indies are locking horns in the third T20I of the series at Providence Stadium, Guyana. West Indies skipper Rovman Powell won the toss and elected to bat first. However, the start of the game was delayed due to a bizarre reason as the ground staff forgot to draw the 30-yard circle on the ground. The umpires and the players had already made their way out in the middle but had to walk off which delayed the start of the game by a few minutes.

Notably, Indian off-spinner recently Ravichandran Ashwin highlighted the poor infrastructure in the West Indies during the Test series. The 36-year-old mentioned the poor quality of the nets available for practice to throw light on the deteriorating state of the cricketing quality in the country.

Meanwhile, India are desperate for a win in the third T20I and have made two changes in their playing XI. Wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan has been benched to make way for young sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal while wrist spinner Ravi Bishnoi makes way for Kuldeep Yadav.

India are on the verge of losing their first T20I series against West Indies since 2017 and captain Hardik Pandya would be eager to not get the ignominious record against his name.  The all-rounder has been criticized for his decisions so far in the series as he didn’t bowl full quota of overs of Yuzvendra Chahal in the second T20I.

Kuldeep Yadav puts a break on West Indies' scoring rate in 3rd T20I

The Indian bowling was once again seen struggling in the third game as West Indies openers Brandon King and Kyle Mayers added 55 runs for the first wicket.

Axar Patel broke the dangerous partnership for India by dismissing Mayers (25 off 20). Kuldeep Yadav also managed to put breaks on West Indies’ scoring by picking three wickets. The left-arm spinner got the prized scalps of Johnson Charles (12 off 14), Nicholas Pooran (20 off 12) and Brandon King (42 off 42) to leave West Indies on 106/4 after 15 overs. Kuldeep finished with figures of 3/28 in four overs and completed fifty wickets in T20Is.
