Star Indian pacer Deepak Chahar has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings’ lineup for several years in the IPL (Indian Premier League). Apart from his cricket career, Chahar has been quite active as an entrepreneur as well. His journey began with a fantasy gaming platform called Trade Fantasy Game in March 2023, which was followed by the launch of a sportswear and cricket shoe outfit called DNINE Sports.
Ahead of the latest edition of the IPL, which is set to begin on March 22, Chahar is all set to launch a new range of products under the existing brand of DNINE Sports.
Speaking of the same, Deepak Chahar came forward to talk about how he wants to make a complete brand related to sports and how he is looking to launch running shoes by the end of the IPL in 2024.
"The plan is to make a complete sports brand. So, after cricket shoes, we are entering the bigger market of running shoes, and the market is huge for this. We will be launching running shoes just around the end of the IPL," Deepak Chahar told Moneycontrol.
“Then we will start opening stores. What I have learned is that people don't buy sports products too much online because people want to get the right size, fit and comfort. It is easy to reach people online. So, people see online and buy offline. For that, we need to have a strong distribution channel. We have covered at least 50 cities where we have good distributors and we are expanding to other places,” he added.
