Australia Women hosted the last and final ODI of the Women’s Ashes 2025 against England Women. The Aussies had already gained an unassailable lead in the series while the visitors were playing for pride. Notably, the final ODI took place at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

Speaking of the game, the 'Women in Yellow' won the toss and chose to bat first. English women bowlers seemed to have got the better of the top order of the Australian side as at one stage, the hosts were reeling at 59/4. However, the Australian women had a lot of surprises up their sleeves with incredible half-centuries from Beth Mooney (50 off 64 deliveries) and Tahlia McGrath (55 off 45 deliveries).

But the star of the day was the all rounder, Ashleigh Gardner, who brought up her maiden ODI century (102 runs off 112 balls) as she compiled a run-a-ball knock. Her scintillating knock meant that the hosts flourished to a decent total of 308.

In reply, England's batters struggled to get going. Except for Tammy Beaumont (54 off 77 deliveries) and all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt (61 off 68 deliveries), none of the batters dug in deep to deal with the run-chase pressure. As a result, England women were bowled out for 222 and lost the game by 86 runs.

Among notable bowling performances for the hosts, It was Alana King who was the star with the ball once again and ended with a five-wicket haul (5/46) in her 8.2 overs of her bowling spell, as Australia Women whitewashed the England Women in the ODI series.

Apart from here, ace leg spinner Alana King turned out to be the best bowler in the series. She claimed 11 wickets in these three ODI matches. During her bowling stint, King maintained an average of 9.63 and an economy of 4.18. The second ODI is where she showed her class helping Australian women defend a low total.
