India and Australia are locking horns in Match 5 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Sunday, October 08 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Australia captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Apart from the exciting cricketing action on the pitch, the crowd at the stadium also got to witness famous pitch invader Jarvo making his appearance at India's opening game of the World Cup.

The famous streaker from England rose to fame after invading the pitch on numerous occasions during England vs India Test series in England in 2021. Jarvo once again made his presence felt by sneaking into the playing area by avoiding the ground staff. However, he was quickly caught and was taken off the pitch by the security personnel. Star India batter Virat Kohli was also spotted having a small conversation with Jarvo as he was being taken off.

According to reports, he won’t be seen again in the ongoing World Cup as ICC (International Cricket Council) has banned him from all future matches of the tournament. Notably, Jarvo has made a reputation for invading the playing field during several other sports games in the United Kingdom and has been banned for life from Headingley, Leeds.
