A viral video on social media depicts a female police officer instructing a spectator to depart, but the spectator did not comply with her command. Following an exchange of words, the police official lost her composure and struck the spectator. In response, the spectator retaliated by striking the police officer, leading to the intervention of bystanders.
India thwart Pakistan with 7 wickets in the epic encounter
In a highly anticipated World Cup encounter, India secured a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan, led by captain Rohit Sharma, who played a pivotal role with 86 runs off 63 balls. This win marked India's third consecutive victory in the tournament, while Pakistan experienced their first loss after winning two matches. Additionally, this victory extended India's remarkable streak of eight consecutive wins over Pakistan in World Cup matches, a record that dates back to 1992.
After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, the Indian bowlers collaborated effectively to dismiss Pakistan for a total of 191 runs. Subsequently, with Rohit Sharma's impressive performance, India successfully pursued the target, accomplishing the chase in 30.3 overs at the packed Narendra Modi Stadium. The trio of fast bowlers, consisting of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Hardik Pandya, each contributed by taking two wickets in the match.
In the bowling department, spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja played a significant role by claiming two wickets each, leading to Pakistan's dismissal in just 42.5 overs. Despite a strong start with a score of 155 for two, Pakistan's innings ended at 191 all out. Captain Babar Azam was the top scorer for Pakistan, contributing 50 runs from 58 balls, while Mohammad Rizwan made 49 runs from 69 balls.
