'Yes, everything is fine between us'- Vinod Kambli on his relationship with Sachin Tendulkar

Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli talks about his friendship with Sachin Tendulkar and mentions that he was hurt when the God of Cricket did not mention him during his farewell speech in 2012. The ex-cricketer has given insights into the bond and drama the two shared during their time together on and off the field.

The relationship shared between Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli goes way back which started with the two being the best of friends. However, while the two started their career in International cricket there was a lot of drama and rumours surrounding the two cricketers who were at their prime during the 90’s and the early 2000’s and had some great partnerships together as well.

There are a lot of people who have given their insights into the relationship the two shared and this time it was Vinod Kambli himself who discussed his relationship with the God of Cricket himself while talking to Times Of India.

“ Yes, everything is fine between us and I'm happy with it. We hugged each other. We want to tell people that we're back. It was mutual, and I'm very glad about it.” Kambli on his bond with Sachin Tendulkar.

Kambli talks about beef with Tendulkar

Though right now everything seems to be great between the two childhood friends, there was a time when there was some beef between them which started in 2009 when Kambli claimed that Tendulkar could have helped save his career which did not sit well with the legendary batter. This beef went on for 8-years until they buried the hatchet in 2017 and Kambli also brought up one of the instances that upset him the most. 

“I was expecting my name to be part of his farewell speech. If anything for our famous partnership. It's that world-record partnership that was the turning point of our careers. That's when everyone came to know who is Vinod and Sachin. I had a hand in that and our careers started from there. I thought he could have mentioned that part at least.” Kambli added.
