Following the jubilant celebrations with his teammates after India Champions' World Championship of Legends (WCL) triumph, Yuvraj Singh faced another significant challenge - this time off the field, as he was tasked with naming his all-time XI.

The task required a meticulous selection of just 11 players, leading to the inevitable exclusion of many of whom he holds in high regard. To everyone's astonishment, he included only three Indians in his final list - Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma.

The much-revered Tendulkar and India skipper Rohit took the opening positions, while he slotted in Kohli at No. 4. The coveted No. 3 spot was given to former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, who boasts an illustrious career with three ODI World Cup victories (1999, 2003, 2007) and two of those as captain.

Following them at No. 5 and 6 were two dynamic wicketkeeper-batters, AB de Villiers and Adam Gilchrist. At No. 7, Yuvraj selected the sole genuine all-rounder of the squad in the form of Andrew Flintoff, the only English player in the XI.

The bowling attack was unparalleled in potency and lethality, comprising a diverse array of maestros. It featured a left-arm pacer adept at swinging the ball at will (Wasim Akram), a right-arm seamer consistently hitting the menacing channel (Glenn McGrath), a leg-spinner with the remarkable ability to turn the ball miles (Shane Warne), and an off-spinner with the highest wicket-tally in international cricket (Muttiah Muralitharan).

Meanwhile, the World Cup-winning all-rounder, Yuvraj secured the 2024 WCL title as India Champions secured a remarkable five-wicket triumph over arch-rivals Pakistan under his leadership.
