With the ODI World Cup 2023 looming around the corner, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) came forward to announce their squad for the marquee event. Led by Rohit Sharma, the Indian team boasts a plethora of star power on their side. Among the many stars, the omission of star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been talked about quite a lot in recent weeks.
Chahal, who has been an integral player for team India in white-ball cricket and is one of the best performers in franchise cricket, was not included in India’s squad for the World Cup. Speaking on the same, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took centre stage and talked of Yuzvendra Chahal’s omission from the squad. Harbhajan suggested that either Chahal has fought with someone or said something to someone, as there are no plausible reasons for his omission from India's squad.

"Yuzvendra Chahal should have been here. He has not been given an opportunity. It is beyond my understanding. Either he has fought with someone or he has said something to someone, I don't know. If we talk only about skill, his name should have been there in this team because a lot of Team India players are resting," Harbhajan Singh was quoted as saying by OnManorama.
They have solid hitters: Harbhajan Singh
Furthermore, Harbhajan Singh also talked of the upcoming three-match ODI series between India and Australia. Harbhajan opined that Australia took on South Africa, whereas India will come into the series after bagging the Asia Cup. Harbhajan suggested that Team India should be especially wary of Australia’s batting lineup as they have many skilled batters.
"Australia were playing against South Africa, and India were playing against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup. Australia is a different team. You will have to be at your best to beat Australia because they have decent batting until No. 7 or No. 8 and they have solid hitters," Harbhajan Singh said.
