DPS Rudrapur clinch Brosid T20 Bash 2022 trophy; beat Brosid Cricket Club by 29 runs in summit clash

DPS Rudrapur captured the trophy by defeating Brosid Cricket Club by 29 runs in the final match of Brosid T-20 Bash being played on the ground of Bareilly Khalifa Cricket Academy Khusro PG College on Sunday, December 26.

DPS Rudrapur's Gajendra Kushwaha was adjudged Man of the Match and Man of the Series as the best bowler while Sohaib Siddiqui was awarded the best batsman award.

Saurabh Bhambri, captain of Brosid Cricket Club won the toss and invited DPS Rudrapur to bat first. DPS Rudrapur's team scored 190 runs after losing three wickets in 20 overs with the help of Ankit Singh's fiery half-century.

Ankit Singh played a quickfire innings of 61 off 34 balls which included four sixes and six fours. Ashish also scored 42 off 22 balls for his team which included three sixes and three fours. Harshit Paliwal also scored an unbeaten 41 off 34 balls which included a six and four fours. Kshitij Rawat also contributed 20 runs. Vivek Puri took 2 Chetan took one wicket from Brosid.

Chasing the target, the team of Brosid Cricket Club struggled and lost five wickets for 47 runs at one time but with the help of Anand Yadav's 42 and Nitish Bhardwaj's 38 runs, Brosid's team returned to the match and reached the verge of winning the match.

But as soon as both the batsmen were dismissed, the team of Brosid Cricket Club could score only 161 runs and lost the final match by 29 runs. Chetan of Brosid also scored a quick 29 off ten balls which included two sixes and four fours.

Chef Raz scored a quick 26 off 10 balls with the help of two sixes and three fours. From DPS Rudrapur, Gajendra Kushwaha once again took three wickets for 25 in four overs and bowled exceedingly well.

Arjun Pratap Singh, Harshit Paliwal and Dushyant got two wickets each. Gajendra Kushwaha of DPS Rudrapur was awarded Man of the Match and Man of the Series as well as the fastest bowler for his brilliant performance. S
