Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard return to professional cricket with World Championship of Legends
West Indies T20 greats Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard are set to return to professional cricket as they gear up for the upcoming World Championship of Legends.

The World Championship of Legends Season 2 (WCL) is on a marquee journey, featuring former international greats in the era of Legends Cricket. Adding to this star-studded lineup, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard are set to make a grand return to professional T20 cricket through West Indies Champions.
Bravo’s excitement for his return
Speaking about his comeback, the former West Indies all rounder and legend reflected on the decision. He also reflected on the decision as compared to the last time he attempted to feature in a T20 cricket league. Besides, bravo also talked about his fitness and its impact on his participation in the upcoming T20 extravaganza.
"Last time I left cricket, my body wasn’t prepared for what it could handle. Now, it’s imperative that with my full attention on returning to T20 cricket, I stay committed and I perform well," Dwayne Bravo said on his comeback to represent West Indies Champions.
During his international career (2004-2021), Bravo was a legendary all-rounder, renowned for his death bowling skills. The Caribbean star has a remarkable record of 631 wickets in 582 matches, making him one of the most prolific wicket-takers in T20 history.
Pollard on reuniting with Bravo
Furthermore, Bravo also sheds light on his relationship with his compatriot Kieron Pollard. He said that they have been playing together for a long time even before they got into the franchise-based cricket leagues. Notably, both stalwarts have played West Indies together in international cricket. Hence he seemed excited about representing the nation, albeit, in another form through WCL this time around.
"Me and Kieron have had a partnership way before we started playing franchise cricket. The only experience we are going to share now is that we are going to be representing our nation again, which is also our franchise for participation in the World Championship of Legends," Bravo further added on teaming up with Kieron Pollard.
As one of T20 cricket's most successful players, Kieron Pollard has played over 600 matches and scored more than 11,000 runs across various global franchises. He also captained West Indies' white-ball teams from 2019-2022, winning 15 major titles during his illustrious career.
"Hearing Dwayne coming back to play melts my heart. Dwayne is a true champion, and with the kind of cricketing career he had, one can never argue that he has had it well and given back to cricket a lot," Pollard said on Bravo’s return.
West Indies Champions owner on their comeback
Meanwhile, the owner of the West Indies Champions team too shared his thoughts on the league and the comeback of the two stars of the West Indies. Ajay Sethi, the owner believes that having both Pollard and Bravo was like reviving the old friendships of the yesteryears when West Indies at the peak of their cricketing performances.

"It is like reliving history in all its glory. Having Bravo and Pollard return to play T20 cricket is like bringing back the old friendships that defined West Indies' golden era. Apart from Sethi, another key person associated with the tournament, Harshit Tomar also shared his views on the much-awaited comeback of the Caribbean duo. Tomar believes that both Bravo and Pollard will raise the bar and profile of the WCL.
"The addition of Bravo and Pollard to the West Indies Legends squad marks a significant turning point for the championship’s second season. Their all-round skills and captivating presence on and off the field will raise the tournament's profile," said Harshit Tomar, Founder & CEO, of World Championship of Legends.
