Pakistan and Bangladesh will square off in Match 9 of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on February 27 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Both teams are already out of the semi-final race, with this game being a formality, but both sides will be looking to end their campaign with a win.
The defending champions had a tournament to forget. In their opening game in Karachi, they suffered a 60-run defeat at the hands of Mitchell Santner's New Zealand. The side followed it up by enduring yet another crushing six-wicket loss against arch-rivals India. Their early exit from an ICC event on home soil has disappointed fans and experts alike.
Similarly, Bangladesh struggled with the bat throughout the tournament. Their campaign started with a six-wicket defeat against the Men in Blue, followed by a five-wicket loss to Kiwis. The underwhelming performances have put the senior players on the hot seat, with questions over their future in ICC tournaments.
Interestingly, this will be the first these two teams face each other in this prestigious tournament. Overall, in ODI World Cups, Pakistan has had an edge over the Bengal Tigers, winning two of three previous encounters.

Pitch Report
The upcoming game at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has a forecast which predicts adverse weather conditions on the match day. Known for its flat, high-scoring pitches, Rawalpindi as a venue often helps the batters, but overcast conditions could assist the fast bowlers.
However, the main concern is the rain forecast, with a 70% chance of showers throughout the day. Earlier, the Australia vs South Africa game at the same venue was abandoned without toss. Even if play happens, it is likely to be a shortened game with pacers who could exploit the conditions.
