IND vs NZ, 2nd T20I: Head to Head, Playing XI, Preview, Where to Watch on TV, Online, and Live Streaming Details
New Zealand have taken a 1-0 lead by winning the 1st T20I by 21 runs
India and New Zealand will be locking horns in the 2nd T20I of the ongoing three-match series to be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, in Lucknow on Sunday, January 29.
The Black Caps took home the 1st T20I by a margin of 21 runs, thus bouncing back strongly after a humiliating 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series previously. It just didn't seem to affect them that they had faced a clean sweep or they had lost the toss and were having to bat first.
The batting department, right from the openers till the middle order, and with some final flourish from Daryl Mitchell at the death, propelled the Kiwis to put up a challenging total on the board (176/6).
The Men In Blue would be looking to do some serious homework, as they looked like a team not very well-prepared for the clash, especially after winning the toss and getting to choose their preference. The bowling department wasn't very effective, but mainly it was the batting department that was completely at the mercy of the Kiwi bowlers. Hardik Pandya and co. would definitely like to bounce back and be able to balance the series and drag it to a decider.
Pitch and Conditions
The pitch in Lucknow is one of the most balanced surfaces in India. The set batters can go big, but there is also help for slow bowlers. Out of five T20I matches played at the venue, all five have been won by the team batting first and that tells a lot about the nature of the surface at the venue.
Probable Playing XI for IND vs NZ 2nd T20I
India
Both teams would want to stick to their respective playing XIs from the first T20I. For India, Hardik Pandya would like to go with the same playing XI, because the players have been good in their previous outings and all they need is some backing.
Probable Playing XI - Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Tripathi, Hardik Pandya (c), Washington Sundar, Deepak Hooda, Shivam Mavi, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh
New Zealand
New Zealand seem to have finally found their best XI to take the field, so they wouldn't want to break the team's momentum and also stick to their current squad to ensure they win the 2nd T20I and win the series.
Probable Playing XI - Devon Conway (wk), Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c), Jacob Duffy, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson, Blair Tickner
