IND-W vs AUS-W, 3rd T20I: Head to Head, Playing XI, Preview, Where to Watch on TV, Online, and Live Streaming Details
The series is leveled at 1-1, with three more games to go.
The five-match T20I series between India and Australia has turned out to be very exciting. After Australia dominated the first game and took a 1-0 lead, India bounced back stronger to level the series 1-1. With three games remaining, the two sides need to give their best and win at least two matches to clinch the series.
The remaining three fixtures will be played at the Brabourne Stadium and the pitch conditions will change in the upcoming game. The previous contest saw a memorable contest between the two teams, a game that will be etched on every fan’s mind and heart for years to come. Chasing 188 runs, India leveled the score at the end of the 20th over, leading to a super over.
This was the first time in history that the Women in Blue played a super over. Indian batters were in great touch and thanks to Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh, India managed to score 20 runs off that over. Australia had to chase 21 in the super over, but Indian pacer Renuka Thakur managed to pick one wicket and restrict the opposition from chasing down the target.
India claimed an emphatic victory at the DY Patil Stadium. Though Australia continue to dominate India in T20Is, given that the visitors have 19 of the 27 games played, the Women in Blue have shown great development as a team. The Asian champions would be hoping to continue their winning momentum, improve their bowling department, and win the third game to take a lead.
Pitch and Conditions
The pitch at the Brabourne Stadium typically plays well throughout the game and is regarded as favorable for batting. The pitch also offers a slow turn from time to time which might help the spinners. Both India and Australia have put up some big scores at this venue, and thus it will be a treat for the batters. Chasing here is comparatively easy and thus the skipper winning the toss might look to bowl first.
Probable Playing XI for IND-W vs AUS-W 3rd T20I
India
India lost the first game, but continued with the same combination and went on to win the second game. It is likely that India go ahead with the same 11, but with the pitch being spin-friendly, India might get the services of the experienced Rajeshwari Gayakwad. On the batting front, Jemimah needs to step up and play her regular game. The bowlers need to rework their strategies and aim for more wickets now.
Probable Playing XI- Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Devika Vaidya, Richa Ghosh (wk), Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, Anjali Sarvani/Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Meghna Singh, Renuka Thakur Singh
Australia
Australia had to make some forced changes last time as their spinner Jess Jonassen was ruled out. But even then, Australia put up a great show and their top-order batters were the stars, as always. While India struggled on the bowling front, Australian bowlers did not disappoint. Megan Schutt needs to work on her strategies as she has been conceding too many runs. The visitors are unlikely to make any changes.
Probable Playing XI: Beth Mooney, Alyssa Healy (c & wk), Tahlia McGrath, Ashleigh Gardner, Ellyse Perry, Phoebe Litchfield, Annabel Sutherland, Heather Graham, Alana King, Kim Garth, Megan Schutt
