After sealing the series 3-1 in Raipur, India (IND) and Australia (AUS) will lock horns for the last time in 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on December 3. All four matches so far have been high-scoring in the series but the fifth can break all records as the short boundaries often help the batters to dominate.

A couple of names have been really impressive for India in the five-match series against Australia. Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma are at the top of the list, while Ruturaj Gaikwad showed that he is ready to take it to the next level. Leading up to the T20 World Cup in June, BCCI will keep a close eye on their development as it won’t be surprising if all three eventually board the flight to the West Indies and the USA.

On the other hand, Ishan Kishan and Yashasvi Jaiswal have been poor. The prior got dropped in the last match for the returning Shreyas Iyer while Jaiswal’s poor run of form continued in the fourth T20I. The final match in Bengaluru is the perfect opportunity for him to step up or players like Gaikwad, Gill and a few others can very well take his spot in the coming future.

When it comes to Australia, the Matthew Wade-led side has nothing to lose and are playing a fearless brand of cricket. All the Test playing cricketers along with a few others have been sent back to the country while a young troop is walking the walk. Travis Head remains to be the player to watch out for while the fifth T20I is the last opportunity for others to impress the IPL franchises, as the auction is just over two weeks away.

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium Pitch Report

The surface at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will favour the batters. Boundaries are pretty short and hence, a lot of runs are to be scored. No target is usually safe here and dew will be present. Thus, bowling first will be ideal and anything over 210 can be considered to be defendable.

IND vs AUS Probable Playing XI, Australia Tour of India

India (IND):

Since the series is already sealed, Suryakumar Yadav might make room for Tilak Varma. The youngster was in good touch in the third T20I but was benched following Shreyas Iyer’s return but can play the fifth T20I. On the other hand, Jitesh Sharma has done a good job and thus, Ishan Kishan might once again be on the bench.

Predicted XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar

Australia (AUS):

Australia are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI. They have got the perfect composition and just need some consistency.

Predicted XI: Travis Head,  Josh Philippe, Aaron Hardie, Ben McDermott, Tim David, Matt Short, Matthew Wade (wk/c), Ben Dwarshuis, Tanveer Sangha, Chris Green, Jason Behrendorff
