Hosts India Women (IND-W) will take on Ireland Women (IRE-W) in the second game of the ODI series, to be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, on Sunday, January 12. India managed to win the first ODI by six wickets despite efforts by Ireland’s Gaby Lewis and Leah Paul who tried to put on a respectable target. The duo scored 92 and 59 respectively as no other batter even crossed the 20-run mark, other than Arlene Kelly’s 28 runs.
India were cruising towards the target from the ball one and all the batters dug their base deep and they finished the game in just 34.3 overs. While Ireland will desire a win to level the series and keep the third ODI as the decider, India would want to win the game to seal the series and turn the last game into a dead rubber.

Pitch Report
The Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium is conducive for batting and they can churn big runs. On the other hand, pacers have a lesser say after the first few over and spinners come into play. The spinners can generate ample turns from the surface in the later half of the game and fetch wickets.
