India women (IND W) and South Africa women (SA W) are all set to continue their ongoing ODI series by facing off in the second ODI, at the renowned M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru, on Wednesday, June 19. The multi-format series began with the Indian team registering a brilliant win against South African women. 

The first ODI saw team India bat first and post a total of 265 runs on the scoreboard after a masterclass century by ace batter Smriti Mandhana. South Africa women's Ayabonga Khaka did attempt to make an impact with a three-wicket spell. However, the side's bowling attack failed to calm Mandhana's performance and succumbed to the pressure during the run chase. Furthermore, the women in blue followed it up by performing with the ball as well. 

Asha Sobhana took four brilliant wickets during the second innings, with Deepti Sharma striking twice, alongside Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, and Radha Yadav striking once each, as India women limited South Africa women to a score of 122, winning the game by 143 runs.
