The Match 15 of the Indian Premier League 2023 will feature Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Monday, April 10. RCB are coming into this game, having faced a hammering defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in their last fixture by 81 runs.

After opting to bowl first, RCB had reasonable control over the game as they had KKR reeling at 89/5 after 11.3 overs. However, a spectacular partnership between Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh of 103 runs from 45 balls turned the game on its head and Kolkata ended up posting 204/7 in the first innings.

In reply, RCB were bundled out for 123 as KKR’s spin trio were all over them in the second innings. Coming back to their home ground, RCB will look to dominate Lucknow like Mumbai in their opening encounter.

On the other hand, Lucknow are coming into the game, having registered a clinical win over Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets. After losing the toss, Lucknow restricted SRH to 121/8 in their allotted 20 overs and chased down the target in 16 overs. 

The KL Rahul-led side has won both of their matches at home and ended up losing the only match they played away from home against Chennai Super Kings. Hence, they have a challenge on their hand to beat RCB in their own den in the upcoming fixture.
