IPL 2025, Match 46: Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Match Preview
It is an evening fixture in Delhi on Sunday.
Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face each other in Match 46 of the IPL 2025. Their match will take place on April 27 at 7:30 PM (IST) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Both RCB and DC have lived up to their expectations by being among the top contenders for the title and both have been in the top four of the points table.
While RCB fell from the table once, DC has been consistently putting on good performances to establish itself as a major force to reckon with. Despite the absence of Faf du Plessis for a majority of the season, DC has found ways to win matches. In eight matches, the 2020 finalists have six wins and two losses to their name, with a win against LSG by eight wickets in their previous match.
On the other hand, RCB won a thriller in their previous match by overcoming RR by 11 runs, their first win at home in the ongoing season. The three-time finalists are yet to lose a match away from home, which could boost their confidence ahead of a big clash against DC. They have six wins and three losses from their nine matches, and are a few wins away from qualification.
Both teams have some of the best players in the world in their line-ups. While RCB has Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Josh Hazlewood, and others, DC has KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Mitchell Starc, and others in their lineup. One can expect a great contest between bat and ball between the two sides. The team winning the match could top the points table.

Pitch Report
RCB and DC will take on each other at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Except for the 2024 season, the surface has usually been on the slower side. In the ongoing season, it has been a dry one with some turn and grip for the spinners. Batters have to make the most of the powerplay overs when the ball comes nicely onto the bat.
With the progression of the innings, it tends to get difficult to bat on. With no presence of dew, batting first might not be a bad idea. Batters have to rotate the strike well and hit odd boundaries in the middle overs. Bowlers need to operate in great line and lengths. Pacers could do well if they vary their pace, and the spinners could be key.
