New Zealand Women vs Sri Lanka Women Match Preview, 2nd ODI

The second ODI of the three-match series between New Zealand Women and Sri Lanka Women is scheduled to be played at the Saxton Oval in Nelson on Friday, March 7. The game is scheduled to commence at 3:30 am (IST).  

The opening game of the series was washed out after 36.4 overs were bowled in the first innings. Sri Lanka scored 147/5, with Harshitha Samarawickrama remaining unbeaten on 66 off 96 deliveries. It was an impressive performance by the hosts, with Bree Illing ending up with figures of 2/42 in 10 overs. Jess Kerr and Suzie Bates were amongst the wickets, too. 

While the previous ODI was played in Napier, the second and third ODIs will be played in Nelson. It will be intriguing to witness how the two sides strategise in what promises to be an exciting contest.
