Pakistan and West Indies collide in the second Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium, starting on Saturday, January 25. The home side have a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
In the first Test in Multan, Pakistan spinners were all over the West Indies batters, making the most of the helpful conditions. Shan Masood used only one over of pace as the spin-bowling trio of Sajid Khan, Abrar Ahmed, and Noman Ali caused all the damage.
Off-spinner Sajid Khan won the Player of the Match award after picking up four and five wickets in the two innings, respectively. Left-arm spinner Noman Ali bagged a five-for in the first innings, while leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed picked up four wickets in the second. Alick Athanaze scored a fighting half-century in the fourth innings before the tourists slumped to a 127-run defeat.
Meanwhile, Jomel Warrican was the pick of the bowlers for the West Indies as he finished with figures of 10/101 in the Test match. He will have an important role to play in the second Test and will want his fellow spinners to offer better support. Kevin Sinclair bowled well in patches but Gudakesh Motie didn't look anywhere near his best.
