After winning their respective matches in the first fixture, Namibia and Netherlands will now lock horns on October 18 at Simonds Stadium in Geelong. The Gerhard Erasmus-led side stunned the cricketing world with their massive victory over Sri Lanka in the previous match while the Dutch team held their nerves, remained calm and tasted a three-wicket victory over UAE in their first match of the 2022 T20 World Cup.

Jan Frylinck, who was adjudged as Player of the Match against Sri Lanka was remarkable with both bat and ball. Batting first, the 28-year-old smashed 44 off 28 deliveries and later picked up two wickets giving away 26 in his four overs. Namibia’s aggressive approach with the bat is also a positive sign going into the tournament. The bowlers were clinical as the pacers ripped the Sri Lankan batting order. With a massive win behind their back, the team will be confident enough to play a good brand of cricket against the Netherlands and get the much-needed win.

Coming to the Netherlands, Scott Edwards-led side picked up a narrow win after a promising start against UAE. Bowling is their strength and it was on display in the last match as the batters struggled to get going. It’s the little contribution from each and every batter that helped them get the win in the previous match.
