With two back-to-back defeats, England (ENG) are on the verge of getting eliminated from the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The Jos Buttler-led side lost to Scotland in their opening match of the campaign and lost their second match against Australia. To make it to the Super 8, the Three Lions need to win their remaining matches, but that too won’t guarantee a place in the next round.
Oman (OMA), on the other hand, lost all three matches so far. They lost to Namibia in the super-over and, later, lost to Australia and Scotland. Their batters have done a decent job so far, but the bowlers are yet to come to the party. It’s not going to be easy against the Three Lions, but the Omanis would fancy their chances against the defending champions, who are struggling at the moment.

Jos Buttler & Co will start as favourites in Antigua, but they need to keep NRR in focus as well. They are far behind Australia and Scotland in terms of NRR and so need a massive win to keep themselves in the race.
