The final of the Tri Nation Series between Pakistan and New Zealand is set to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday, February 14.
The two sides took on each other in the curtain-raiser of the tri-series. After opting to bat first, both the Kiwi openers were dismissed within eight overs before Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell steadied the ship with fine half-centuries. With the dismissal of the latter on 81, the remainder of the innings lookedgrim for the tourists. However, a blitzkrieg from Glenn Phillips led New Zealand to 330, which was enough for a win despite Shaheen Shah Afridi's three-wicket haul.
Star Pakistani batter Babar Azam was dismissed on the final delivery of the 10th over of the run-chase. Apart from Fakhar Zaman's enterprising 69-ball 84, no other batter could surpass 40. The hosts were embarrisingly bowled out for 252 in 47.5 overs. Michael Bracewell and skipper Mitchell Santner did a commendable job by conceding 41 runs in their allotted quota by securing two and three wickets, respectively.

Pitch Report
The National Stadium is anticipated to provide favourable batting conditions. Fast bowlers may find some movement early on, but batting is expected to get easier as the match progresses. Known for its flat nature, the track allows batters to play their shots freely and will get great value due to the lightning-fast outfield. The spinners might get some assistance as the ball wears, though extracting significant turn is unlikely.Head-To-Head Record
