Match 5 of the 2024 Women's Premier League (WPL) will witness UP Warriorz (UP-W) take on the Gujarat Giants (GG-W) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 1, Friday.

In their previous match, the Warriorz secured their first win of the season against the defending champions Mumbai Indians. Despite losing their first two games, UP put up a strong bowling performance against Mumbai, limiting them to 161 runs after opting to bowl first. Kiran Navgire's impressive half-century ensured UP chased down the target with 21 balls to spare.

Gujarat Giants, on the other hand, have had a rough start to the season, falling short against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, respectively. As they head into their upcoming clash, led by Beth Mooney, the Giants will be eager to secure their first victory in the tournament.

Anticipation is high for this match, with the Warriorz looking to build on their recent success and the Giants aiming to turn their fortunes around in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
