Zimbabwe and Ireland are set to have yet another clash in the first T20I of their three-match series at Harare Sports Club, with the action starting at 5:00 PM (IST).

The hosts are looking forward to this series with courage, having secured a dominating 2-1 triumph over Ireland in the introductory ODI series. Nevertheless, looking at their previous record and latest form, their T20I format has been contrary. Zimbabwe’s last T20I clash was a blow, as they suffered a 1-2 series defeat against Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Ireland will be excited to make a comeback in the shortest format after their ODI setback. Both teams will be focusing on tuning up their combinations and sequences as they gear up for crucial assignments ahead.

Zimbabwe, with home advantage on their side, will look to continue their dominance and put up strength over Ireland, but the guests are known for their resilience and recoiling. An exciting battle is on the cards as both teams get afoot in Harare.

Pitch Report

The Harare Sports Club pitch holds an equitable condition for both the bowlers and batters. The new ball seems to move and bounce a little more which could turn out to be a little tricky for the batters. However, as the match gets the breakthrough, the pitch might settle down which can make stroke play a little easier. The team winning the toss might chase first, leading the team likely to a positive outcome.
