Succeeding Zimbabwe's (ZIM) 49-run victory in the first ODI against Ireland (IRE), the stage is set for a flashy second match on Sunday, February 16, at the renowned Harare Sports Club, in Harare. In the series onset, the Chevrons secured a daunting 299/5, thanks to Brian Bennett's impeccable 168 runs off 163 performances. Ireland's lookout was entirely spirited but fell short at 250 all out.
For the upcoming game, Ireland will focus on their captain, Paul Sterling, to bring a stern start, while middle-order batter Harry Tector plans to continue his form. It seems to be a little tricky on the bowling front as Josh Little, the left-arm pacer's capability to stroke the ball will be crucial.
The hosts Zimbabwe are currently leading the ODI series by 1-0, while Ireland will be looking forward to levelling up the playing field for a competing and vying encounter.
